RMT'S ROLE:

  • Disassembly of existing tower foundations— 139 lattice and 16 tubular
  • Removal of 10,000-foot existing collector system
  • Engineering, procurement, and construction of civil and electrical system BOP, consisting of 42,700-foot underground 34.5 kV collection system and 115 kV/34.5 kV substation
  • Erection and wiring of replacement WTGs
  • Construction of 10,000 feet of access roads, three acres of laydown yard, 10,675 feet of underground collector trenches
  • Construction of spread-footer foundations, poured in-place concrete construction with steel reinforcement
  • Construction of operations and maintenance building
  • Fiber optics communication and SCADA network

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Upgraded and renovated existing 23-year-old, 10.8-MW wind farm
  • Successfully managed mountain-side construction on Bureau of Land Management property
  • Provided ongoing energy, environmental, and economic benefits:
    • Generates enough electricity to power approximately 5,919 homes annually
    • Offsets the combustion of approximately 27,352 tons of coal per year, which reduces the equivalent of 36,000 tons of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere annually
    • Provides income to local landowners through annual lease payments
