RMT'S ROLE:
- Disassembly of existing tower foundations— 139 lattice and 16 tubular
- Removal of 10,000-foot existing collector system
- Engineering, procurement, and construction of civil and electrical system BOP, consisting of 42,700-foot underground 34.5 kV collection system and 115 kV/34.5 kV substation
- Erection and wiring of replacement WTGs
- Construction of 10,000 feet of access roads, three acres of laydown yard, 10,675 feet of underground collector trenches
- Construction of spread-footer foundations, poured in-place concrete construction with steel reinforcement
- Construction of operations and maintenance building
- Fiber optics communication and SCADA network
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
- Upgraded and renovated existing 23-year-old, 10.8-MW wind farm
- Successfully managed mountain-side construction on Bureau of Land Management property
- Provided ongoing energy, environmental, and
economic benefits:
- Generates enough electricity to power approximately 5,919 homes annually
- Offsets the combustion of approximately 27,352 tons of coal per year, which reduces the equivalent of 36,000 tons of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere annually
- Provides income to local landowners through annual lease payments
