RMT'S ROLE:

• Engineering, procurement, and construction of 4.6 miles of 138 kV transmission line, 34.5/138 kV project substation, 138 kV five breaker radial bus interconnection switching substation
• Engineering of cap banks for substation
• Fiber optics communication and SCADA network

PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:

• Provided SCADA and RTU equipment and programming to accommodate four different parties with different logic protocol
• Coordinated schedule with the client, who acted as the general contractor, and another onsite general contractor
• Supported the owner for installing owner-purchased material and working around the owner’s delayed delivery schedule
• Provided ongoing energy, environmental, and economic benefits:
  • Generates enough electricity to power approximately 30,000 homes annually
  • Offsets the combustion of approximately 136,000 tons of coal per year, which reduces the equivalent of 180,000 tons of CO2 emissions to the atmosphere annually
  • Provides income to local landowners through annual lease payments
