RMT'S ROLE:
RMT is providing engineering, procurement, and construction of the civil and electrical system Balance-of-Plant (BOP), including the following:
- Storm water management
- Spread-footer foundations
- Access roads, crane pads and walks, and laydown yards
- 3-phase 34.5-kV electrical collection system
- Substation/switchyard
- SCADA systems
- Turbine erection and tower wiring
- FAA lighting
- WTG transporation to the site
- Operations and maintenance building
PROJECT HIGHLIGHTS:
- The facility is commenced commercial operation in October 2011
- The Sheffield Wind facility has the capacity to power approximately 14,500 homes annually
