RMT’s Health & Safety (H&S) mission is founded on the principle that business concerns shall not outweigh the concerns for the health, safety and well-being of its people or impact on the environment. RMT believes that work performed safely yields the highest quality at the lowest cost. H&S is a crucial element in RMT’s planning, supervision, daily implementation of projects, and the operation of its offices.
RMT is committed to its employees and ensuring that they are provided with the necessary tools, equipment, and knowledge required to perform their roles in a safe and productive manner. Our interactive learning methodology assists employees to adjust behaviors in making safe decisions a good habit.
Employees are empowered to make educated decisions regarding about their work to proactively protect themselves, their coworkers and the environment. Every RMT employee not only has the right, but also the responsibility, to stop work and seek additional information, training, guidance, and/or direction when concerns about safety or the environment exist.
RMT’s Health & Safety Mission Statement has been developed by Executive Management team in support of the following commitments:
- RMT shall clearly communicate the requirements and expectations of RMT’s H&S mission to its employees and other project employees working on site.
- RMT employees and other project employees working on site shall make the prevention of incidents the highest of priorities.
- RMT employees and other project employees working on site shall achieve and maintain compliance with respect to approved regulatory standards, codes of practice, and client-specific standards.
- RMT shall make available to all employees working onsite the necessary tools, equipment and knowledge to execute their roles in a safe and productive manner.
