RMT regards sustainability as a guiding principle for everything we do—internally and externally. Much like the companies we serve, we have undertaken many initiatives to support our own commitment to corporate social responsibility and create positive impacts in the world around us. A sampling of some of the activities that our offices routinely engage in include the following:

Environmental — recycling paper, computers, and other materials; using recycled paper and office supplies; implementing office energy conservation practices (e.g., electricity, gas, lighting); using video- and teleconferencing to reduce travel; promoting continuous improvement through Lean Six Sigma.

Social — providing yearly financial support to United Way, Second Harvest, American Red Cross, and other charitable organizations; conducting office food and clothing drives; sponsoring and participating in community events; implementing internal programs to promote employee health, safety, and wellness.
Our commitment to developing sustainable practices is deep-rooted, moving beyond our individual offices all the way to our parent company, Alliant Energy. Because of the nature of our business, one of the biggest impacts that RMT can have on the environment extends beyond our internal efforts to the projects that we execute for our clients on a daily basis—helping them comply with regulations, protect the environment and their communities, and become more sustainable organizations.
